How does CarShake prove when and where photos were taken?

CarShake uses two independent verification layers. First, every photo is GPS-tagged at the moment of capture, recording the precise latitude and longitude. Second, each photo receives a dual timestamp — one from your device and one from CarShake's servers — making it extremely difficult to dispute when the photos were taken. All photos are also SHA-256 hashed so any tampering is immediately detectable.

Can I use CarShake for rental cars?

Absolutely. CarShake is ideal for rental cars. Snap before-photos when you pick up the car at the rental lot, documenting every scratch, dent, or scuff that already exists. Snap after-photos when you return the car. If the rental company tries to charge you for pre-existing damage, you have GPS-verified, timestamped proof showing the damage was there before you drove off the lot.
